Altitude training

The objective of the training at altitude is to stimulate haematological, respiratory and metabolic adaptations to improve its performance level.

The different stages for a good internship:

An acclimatization period of 7 to 10 days: with moderate intensity, numerous outings, hydration and a lot of rest in order to adjust the body’s natural clock, often sleep around 9 pm and wake up 5:45 am

A training phase with a gradual increase in training volume and then gradually increase the intensity. Encourage morning sessions and reserve the soft sequences for the afternoon.

A recovery phase between 2 and 5 days before returning home. physical and nervous recovery.

The objective of the Training in altitude is to improve performance but also to assimilate a high load when returning to the plain. This will allow you to compete.

For your internship to be successful, you will need to consider different parameters.

Prepare the internship to arrive in good physical condition, perform a blood test one month before the start of the internship to detect any deficiencies.

Program the training during the training course, remaining attentive to oneself during the acclimatization period and the objectives of the period.

Take into account the different parameters for the success of your stay at altitude: recovery, sleep, nutrition, hydration, anxiety, isolation, leisure and the environment.

Remember to cover yourself because the air is cooler even with the sun and climate changes are frequent.
